[Sdhci-devel] Portege 2010 SD Card Reader SDHCI driver

My Toshiba Portege 2010 laptop comes with an internal SD card reader, but it
seems it is not working with the version 0.11 of sdhci that comes with my
kernel 2.6.17-6.
The laptop matrix in http://mmc.drzeus.cx/wiki/LaptopMatrix says that the
current status of the support for this laptop is

but I'm not sure about the meaning of it. Does it mean that it is currently
unsupported? Or that it is supposed to work with sdhci? Could anyone expand
it a bit please?
It seems that linux 2.6.18rc1 is supposed to come with a newer version of
sdhci: is there any improvement to the support for this laptop in this newer
kernel?

Last but no least, I'd appreciate any check list that I could use to ensure
that sdhci is correctly installed in my system. For instance, I found some
references to a module mmc_block, but I couldn't find it anywhere. What /dev
node should I expect my sdcard block device to show up?

I would like to offer any help that the developers may think could be
useful, in terms of providing a host to test any version sdhci on the
portege 2010 and probing its specific sd card reader. Some few relevant info
bits of my host follow. Please let me know of any further information you
need.
